Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition Widescreen Box, VHS, 20th Century Fox Home Ent. Norway, 1997

The films are in the original English, with Norwegian subtitles. This set is a combination slipcase/cardboard box containg the widesscreen versions of the Star Wars Special Edition trilogy. Both Widescreen and fullscreen sets were issued concurrently. These tapes were also available separately, but in clamshell boxes. This set is very common, and I believe most people bought this instead of the separate releases. It shows up second hand quite often, while the individual tapes with the clamshell boxes are somewhat harder to come by. In Norway the box sets for both the Widescreen and the fullscreen versions were gold coloured, but the Widescreen box is clearly marked as such. In other markets they differentiated the sets better by making the Widescreen box silver instead of gold. The cartons inside the box follow the established colour code, keeping the Widescreen tapes in silver.
