This is a sell-through tape from Italy, clearly marked "not for rent". The film is in fullscreen, with Italian dubbing in Hi-Fi Stereo. It has an Italian title card and crawl. Note that, even in 1990, the Italian crawl has no "Episode IV" or "A New Hope" title (like the the early German VHS and Laserdisc masters from 1982). This tape starts with the duplication date info (added automatically by the duplication machine at the factory) indicating that my particular copy was fabricated in July 1991. I like the design of this cover, apparently part of a "CBS/Fox Silver & Gold Collection". I may have to track down the other films in this set someday... This is one of many international releases of Star Wars I bought on eBay in 2009.
