Star Wars Episode II, VHS, SF Film Denmark, 2002

Rental version of The Attack of the Clones on VHS from Denmark. The film is in widescreen, subtitled in Danish but retains its original English soundtrack. Unlike for Episode I, the opening crawl for Episode II is not recreated in Danish, but merely subtitled normally.

There is no mention of it anywhere on the box or at the beginning of the tape, but after the film you'll find the "Star Wars Connections" featurette and several deleted scenes from Episode II. This is quite unique for a rental tape (The same bonuses could be found on the UK Episode II rental tape as well). The featurette and deleted scenes are in English but without Danish subtitles.

It comes in a so-called Bigbox case, standard for rental tapes in the Nordic countries. Unlike for Episode I they didn't issue this with a gold coloured case, just a regular transparent one (Assuming this is the original case. It was the case it came in when I bought it in 2019.)

On the back it notes that "This film is also issued on DVD". I've never seen that before, but it is indicative of the tape being released in a transitional phase where DVD was about to replace VHS for good.
