Star Wars, VHS, CBS/Fox Video UK, 1987
|
In 1987, five years after Star Wars was made available for rental in the UK, the first sell-through version was released. For now it was just the first Star Wars movie, but the following year CBS/Fox would release the entire trilogy for sale.
The movie is presented in the then-standard cropped "fullscreen" and Hi-Fi stereo sound, with an identical transfer to what was used for previous releases. The release has the same product number as the older rental tapes, but they added an "S" to it (for Sell-through?): S1130-50
