This Laserdisc is part of the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition box set released by UK distributor Encore Entertainment on laserdisc in 1997. These were not sold individually.
Even though the European PAL TV standard runs 4% faster than the American NTSC, Return of the Jedi was too long to fit on a single PAL Laserdisc, so it had to be split across 3 sides, just like the US releases. Side 3 comes with all three parts of the 1997 "Making of the Star Wars Special Edition" featurettes. To my surprise there is no copyright info screen or distributor intros of any kind on this disc, just the THX intro. |
