Ewoks - The battle for Endor, Laserdisc, MGM/UA Home Video USA, 1990

Both the Ewok TV movies finally made it to Laserdisc in the US in 1990. In Japan they were released as early as 1986 (Ewok Adventure) and 1988 (The Battle for Endor). In the US the home video rights to both of the Ewoks telemovies were handled by MGM/UA. (In Japan, the first movie was released by CBS/FOX, while only the last one was by MGM/UA.) This means the US releases match better as a set, sharing many of the same design elements and layout. This is something a collector appreciates. If one were to nitpick, the image of Wicket on the back is from Return of the Jedi, not Battle for Endor. The film comes in its original 4x3 image format, with digital PCM stereo sound. There are no extras of any kind. |
