This Laserdisc is part of the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition box set released by UK distributor Encore Entertainment on laserdisc in 1997. These were not sold individually.
The European PAL TV standard runs 4% faster than the American NTSC, so The Empire Strikes Back fits snugly on a single PAL Laserdisc. To my surprise there is no copyright info screen or distributor intros of any kind on this disc, just the THX intro. Maybe they couldn't fit them in the available space? |
