The Making of Star Wars / SP FX: The Empire Strikes Back, Laserdisc, CLV, 20th Century Fox Video USA, 1982

This is a 1982 re-relase by 20th Century Fox Video. The first version was released by Magnetic Video in 1981 (See it here.) It has the exact same content, even starting with the Magnetic Video intro. Magnetic Video was in fact a 20th Century Fox company, so this is a simple rebranding of the first disc. As with Magnetic Video's initial release, this also boasts "Electronically rechanneled for Stereo". Part of the selling points of early Laserdisc technology was its stereo capability. This necessitated some creative marketing when releasing material that was inherently monophonic. I found my copy on eBay back in 2014, but it was stored away and forgotten, only to be rediscovered when I started going through my cupboards again in 2025. It was a nice surprise!
