Star Wars Clone Wars (Two-disc, Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook), DVD, Warner Bros Entertainment, USA 2008
This is a Best Buy Exclusive released in a Steelbook case. The contents are the same as the regular retail version; a two-disc set with a selection of bonus features on disc two and also comes with an insert with a Digital Copy code.
I missed this release back in 2008, as I didn't have my ear to the ground and wasn't aware that Best Buy issued this exclusive. A year later I was reading a Steelbook forum and saw this mentioned. I asked about what it was and where it came from, and received a rude reply that simply said "It was a Best Buy exclusive and you can't afford it". I headed over to eBay and bought a brand new copy for $25, which didn't exactly ruin me. (As of 2025 there are plenty copies available for $40 on eBay, so it ain't that rare.)
The pilot Clone Wars movie was released on DVD and Blu-ray across many different markets in 2008. The film is presented in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio, with Dolby Digital 5.1EX sound.
