Star Wars Trilogy (HMV Exclusive Gold Box), DVD, 20th Century-Fox Home Entertainment, UK 2004

First DVD release of original trilogy Star Wars films in the UK. This was a classy release, with the outer box housing a black slipcase with each film in a separate DVD case, along with a Bonus Disc. This Gold-coloured box was an exclusive from UK media retailer HMV. You'd be forgiven for expecting this to be a Full Screen release of the films, as the Gold coloured box was associated with Full Screen releases since the release of the 1997 Special Editions on VHS, and in the US this gold box housed Full Screen discs, but in the UK the films were only issued in Widescreen. Apart from the local language on the box and covers, the releases are more or less identical in all territories.
