Disc	Inside Artwork

A few years after the 2001 premiere of Episode I on DVD, these single-disc versions started showing up in bargain bins everywhere. There was no insert to be had, but the chapter guide is printed on the inside. The release still carries a 2002 copyright, and houses the "old" 2002 disc, so I can't determine just when this single-disc release supplanted the 2-disc version. (I bought mine in 2007.) Both this and Episode II seemed to get single-disc releases around the time Episode III came out, so I guesstimate the year to be 2005. Both Episode I and Episode II got the single-disc treatment, but Episode III remained a 2-disc release (apart from the rental version).
