Return of the Jedi, VHS, Rental tape, CBS/Fox video UK, 1986

This is the first home video release of Return of the Jedi in the UK. This is rental only, as the Brits would have to wait until 1989 until they could own a copy of the film. The film is in cropped "fullscreen" with Hi-Fi Stereo sound. As usual, there are variations in the cassette housings used, but the actual content is the same. Note the spiffy TDK logo on the spine. These rental tapes did indeed use TDK blanks on both VHS and Betamax! Look for the original white cases with the CBS/FOX name engraved on the top. Many copies around today have the case replaced with a generic black or transparent one.
