The Making of Star Wars, Betamax, Magnetic Video, UK 1979

The "Making of..." special was released in the early days of Home Video, before the marketplace was established enough to warrant a release of the movie proper.
This UK Betamax version has a different set of opening logos to the UK VHS version, but otherwise the content is exactly the same. The release year is based on the assumption that this was released at the same time as the US version. The UK tape has no date stamp of any kind. Nor does its VHS sibling. Magnetic Video was bought by Fox in 1979 and became 20th Century-Fox video. Another surprise discovery on eBay. |
